Microsoft Azure Services
Azure is a powerful platform. It is not automatically the right answer for every business.
Discuss Azure ServicesOverview
Microsoft Azure provides cloud infrastructure — virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities — that can replace or supplement traditional on-premises servers.
Azure makes sense for organizations that need scalable compute, hybrid connectivity, Windows ecosystem integration, or cloud-based disaster recovery. But Azure is not automatically the right answer for every workload or every business.
We help organizations evaluate whether Azure is the right platform for their specific workloads, design the appropriate architecture, manage the migration, and provide ongoing management and cost optimization.
What We Do
Azure Infrastructure Design
We design Azure environments — virtual networks, subnets, security groups, virtual machines, storage accounts, and availability sets — tailored to your performance and availability requirements.
Azure Virtual Machines & Compute
We configure virtual machines, App Services, and container-based compute for workloads that need cloud infrastructure, selecting the right instance sizes and availability configurations.
Azure Storage & Backup
We design storage strategies using blob storage, managed disks, and Azure Backup to protect data and control costs.
Azure Networking
We configure virtual networks, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, DNS, and network security groups to connect your users, offices, and cloud resources securely.
Azure Identity & Security
We integrate Azure with Microsoft Entra ID for identity, configure role-based access control, and implement security monitoring and policies.
Azure Disaster Recovery
We implement Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup to provide cloud-based disaster recovery for on-premises or Azure workloads.
Azure Cost Management
We monitor and optimize Azure spending — rightsizing virtual machines, managing storage tiers, and identifying unused resources that drive unnecessary costs.
When It Makes Sense
This service is the right fit when:
- You need scalable Windows-based infrastructure without investing in physical hardware
- You want cloud-based disaster recovery for on-premises workloads
- You are already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem and want tight integration
- You need hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud resources
- You are running applications that require Windows Server or SQL Server in the cloud
- You need to temporarily scale compute capacity for a specific project or workload
What Can Go Wrong
Common pitfalls to avoid:
- Over-provisioning virtual machines and paying for capacity you do not use
- Not configuring network security groups properly, exposing cloud resources to the internet
- Leaving unused resources running, accumulating charges with no business value
- Not planning for data egress costs when large volumes of data leave Azure
- Assuming Azure backup is automatic when it must be explicitly configured
- Choosing Azure when a SaaS alternative would meet the need at lower cost and complexity
Alternatives to Consider
This service is not always the right answer. Depending on your situation, these alternatives may be more appropriate:
- For email and collaboration, Microsoft 365 (SaaS) is simpler and more cost-effective than building Azure infrastructure
- For simple websites or applications, Azure App Service may be more appropriate than full virtual machines
- For organizations with no Windows-specific needs, other cloud platforms may offer comparable capability at different price points
- For stable on-premises workloads with no scalability requirement, maintaining on-premises servers may be more economical
